Student Investigation Notebooks
Amplify Science offers Investigation Notebooks for purchase or download. Available for every unit, the Investigation Notebooks contain instructions for student activities and space for students to record data, reflect on ideas from texts and investigations, and construct explanations and arguments.
Middle School
In grades 6-8, the Notebooks mirror the content available to students digitally, including all articles, and can therefore serve multiple purposes:
- For those schools and classrooms that do not have devices for every student, the notebooks are required, as student would not be accessing lesson content online (see the “Flexible, Blended Program” section for more information).
- For those schools and classrooms that do have devices for every student, the notebooks are valuable as print backups, in case the classroom’s internet connection is unreliable, or if device availability suddenly changes.
- For all schools, Notebooks allow teachers to send assignments home with students on paper, and to share those assignments with parents more easily.
