Students arrive at Student Home after logging in to learning.amplify.com. From Student Home, your students can complete assignments and access other features of your institution’s Amplify programs.
The example screen shots in this article show a student with additional Amplify programs. In this article, only the features relevant to Amplify Desmos Math will be described.
Student Home has a new look and feel for this school year, supporting all students in Grades 6–8 and including all key My Work tools, as My Work is retired for the 2024 school year. Students in Grades 6–8 now see score notifications on Student Home.

Notifications
The notifications icon displays in red with a dot to indicate new notifications are available.
When a student clicks the notifications icon, the notifications panel opens. This panel contains a New section and a Previous section.

Students can click their avatar to edit the characteristics and personalize it.
Students click Enter a class code to enter a single session code generated by a teacher. The teacher generates a code for an activity and shares it with students.
Assignments
The Assignment stream displays current or past assignments. In order for students to see their previously submitted work and upcoming assignments in Student Home, teachers need to assign it.
At the top of the page are status buttons and the Subjects list that students can use to filter the stream.
All is selected by default.
Students click Not Started or Started to filter the stream by assignment status.
Students click the All Subjects list and select a subject to view assignments for that subject.
Assignment cards
Each assignment is on a card that shows the Lesson title and details, Status (Not Started or Started), Feedback (if any), Due Date (if one is set), and Action (Start or Open).
Assignments are grouped on cards by program and Unit or Lesson. Each assignment card is labeled at the top with the program and unit or lesson details (if relevant). Assignments can have a due date set by the teacher, and the assignments are sorted by descending due date on the cards. New assignments have a Start button that students click to start working on the assignment. Previously started assignments have an Open button that students click to resume working. Some assignments include a New Feedback icon if their teacher has provided feedback.
Feedback
An envelope icon displays for each activity with feedback or scores in a student’s stream. The envelope icon displays as closed if the student has any unread feedback or scores. The envelope displays as open if the student has viewed all feedback and scores within that activity. Students click the New Feedback icon to open the lesson or activity and review their teacher’s comments and grades.
