Amplify Science was designed from the ground up to meet the instructional shifts called for in the Framework for K–12 Science Education (2012), on which the 2023 Alabama Course of Study: Science is based. Therefore, most grade levels’ respective set of Amplify Science units address the necessary Alabama Science Standards. However, teachers should also use the resources provided in this section to achieve full coverage of the appropriate standards before their students move on to the next grade level. Organized by grade level in the menu on the left, each section outlines:

• companion lesson materials that were written to support 100% alignment to the Alabama Science Standards when used with the core Amplify Science units for the grade level;
• the standard being addressed with each companion lesson; and
• the recommended placement of each companion lesson within a specific Amplify Science unit
