Amplify OneRoster CSV Upload Portal: Data Sync History

View a chronological history of your enrollment imports and exports

Updated over a week ago

The Data Sync History page is a chronological list of each data import uploaded to the Amplify OneRoster CSV Upload Portal and every export shared with Amplify via an installed Export app.

The date and time that each sync initiated displays in a calendar icon at the left of the page, with the most recent sync at the top. To its right is a summary of the sync, which displays the app from which the sync was initiated, the number of records included in the sync, and the number of errors. Clicking Show Details displays a table that lists the changes in your data from the previous sync at both the district and the school level.

Filtering by App

Depending on the frequency with which you import or export enrollment data, you may find it useful to filter the list so it shows only the imports or exports made by one or more of your installed apps. To filter your Data Sync History, click the Filter by Application list at the top of the page.

A list of all your installed apps displays. Select the box to the left of only the app(s) you would like to display in the history.

When you finish making your selections, only the syncs initiated by the selected app(s) display.

To clear the filters and return to the complete history, click the X to the right of the apps that display in the Filter by Application list at the top of the page.

Viewing Sync Details

Clicking Show Details in any sync’s Summary panel expands the panel to display a Summary table for each imported or exported data type.

The Summary table columns differ depending on whether the enrollment data was imported or exported; a breakdown of the data by school is available under the Summary table; click a School Name to display its details.

Clicking a blue number in any row opens a table that displays relevant attributes and any related error messages for each record represented by that number.

Click any blue link in a table to view the complete data record for that entity in Data Browsing, which displays all its related attributes and IDs. Click Close to return to the sync details.

When you finish viewing the information for a specific sync, click Hide Details.

Import History Details

Import history details display for data records uploaded through a currently installed Import app (SFTP or CSV Upload). The Summary table breaks down your imports by data type and describes the status for each record across a list of columns. The Statistic by Schools table displays the total number of records imported for each data type and can be expanded to display its own Summary table.

The columns in an import Summary table represent the following for each data type:

  • Ʃ Total - The total number of records synced

  • No Change - The number of records unchanged by the sync

  • New - The number of new records

  • Updated - The number of existing records that contained changes from the previous sync

  • Deleted - The number of records removed during the sync

  • Skipped - The number of records that were not uploaded because they failed to meet the set requirements for the data type

  • Duplicates - The number of records that had duplicate data for a value that is required to be unique

  • Merged - The number of duplicate records that were merged into a single record

  • Excluded - The number of duplicate records excluded from the import

  • Invalid - The number of synced records flagged for failing to meet the set requirements for the data type

Export History Details

Export history details display for data records sent to Amplify’s enrollment systems through a currently installed Export app (Amplify or Amplify mCLASS). The Summary table breaks down your exports by data type and describes the status for each record across a list of columns. The Statistic by Schools table displays the total number of records exported for each data type and can be expanded to display its own Summary table.

The columns in an export Summary table represent the following for each data type:

  • Ʃ Total - The total number of records synced

  • Skipped by Provider - The number of records skipped because they contain attributes you have chosen to filter

  • Granted by Provider - The number of records successfully exported

  • Skipped by Vendor - The number of records skipped because they did not meet Amplify’s data requirements

  • Received by Vendor - The number of records received successfully by Amplify’s enrollment systems
