Network and Allowlist Requirements

Details on required network environment and URL/IP requirements

Updated over a month ago

The requirements listed in this article are necessary for school networks to support Amplify programs.

Network environment minimum requirements:

  • Wireless access points: 802.11g/n/ac compatible

  • User devices: Connect to Amplify servers via ports 80 and 443.

  • Latency: No more than 165 ms during peak utilization

  • Connection speed: 2 mbps per device during peak usage (10 mbps recommended)

Allowlist Requirements

To get teachers and students ready for Amplify, IT technicians and support staff are asked to allow specific Amplify URLs in your school's firewall. To make this process as seamless as possible, visit the Amplify Network Access Validator App – a simple web-based tool that allows you to do the following:

  • Read, copy and paste the list of entries that must be allowed so your district can use Amplify’s curriculums

  • Confirm for yourself that the allowlist is working for your school by running an automated verification of the accessibility of the allowlist

  • Receive diagnostic information of any failures
