Amplify CKLA and Caminos combine rich content knowledge with systematic foundational skills instruction, and are grounded in the Science of Reading. These programs are designed to support bilingual education and the development of literacy skills in both English and Spanish.

The PD Library contains resources to support educators’ use of both Spanish and English products together. They also assist educators to find the connection between materials in order to facilitate biliteracy development in their classrooms.

In the Planning resources, you can find the crosswalk of the foundational skills for Amplify CKLA and Caminos to support dual language instruction. This provides side-by-side foundational skills (destrezas fundamentales) for each unit and lesson in CKLA and Caminos, as well as Conexión bilingüe throughout the unit.

To build a cross-linguistic bridge, educators can locate opportunities to support foundational skills in both English and Spanish at the same time. This type of resource supports planning by helping educators understand the skills being covered in both programs, in one glance!

Bilingual connections are intended to provide explicit guidance on how educators can support students to establish connections between the two languages ​​and develop metalinguistic awareness.
