The Amplify CKLA digital experience offers both educators and students a more flexible and improved learning experience.


Educator Experience

All Amplify CKLA educators land on Educator Home upon login. On Educator Home, you have access to your programs, class poll results, recommendations, and your stream.

Click CKLA on Educator Home to open your CKLA digital experience. From there, you have access to digital lessons, to your slides, and you can also assign work.

You can access your programs and the Amplify Hub from the Programs and Apps menu. All of your CKLA multimedia apps are listed in the Amplify Hub.

Year Overview

From the Year Overview, select the grade from the Program menu. The Year Overview contains the units and materials for the grade. The Materials section contains planning documents, reading resources, guidance for reviewers, and more.

In the Program menu, you’ll also find Research Units Resources, Language Studio Resources, and Writing Studio Resources.

Research Units focus on student-centered inquiry and research, which allows students to build their background knowledge across domains.

Language Studio lessons preview or reinforce the language and content introduced during instruction in order to address the specific needs of K–5 English Language Learners.

Writing Studio builds on CKLA core instruction by offering students additional opportunities to strengthen their writing skills.

Grades K–2

For grades K–2, there are Skills Units, Knowledge Units, and Materials.

Grades 3–5

Grades 3–5 have Units and Materials.

Unit Overview

Click a unit to go to the Unit Overview. There, you’ll be able to access the Lessons and Materials associated with that unit.

Lesson Overview

Click a lesson to see the Lesson Overview. It contains all of the information you need to prepare for the lesson.

The Lesson Overview includes:

  • Primary Focus Objectives

  • Lesson at a Glance

  • Advance Preparation

  • Vocabulary

Click Get Lesson Slides to personalize the lesson slides. Clicking on @ Assign lets you assign the lesson to students; and Teach allows you to present the slides and teach the lesson.

Lesson at a Glance offers a visual summary of the lesson’s activities. Within Lesson at a Glance you can preview the lesson, read activity summaries, and see suggested pacing.

To support your lesson planning process, you can preview the lesson’s slides with teacher notes included directly from the lesson.

Click an individual slide to see the included notes, suggested teacher talk, and example student responses.

For grades K–2, the Lesson Overviews that correspond toSkills Units also offer Additional Support for educators.

Student Experience

All Amplify Caminos students land on Student Home upon login.

On Student Home, students can see their assigned lessons and past work. Only lessons assigned by an educator display on Student Home.

Students can also access their multimedia apps in the Hub. They will have different apps depending on their grade.
