Is there a way for me to explore a student account to see what it looks like for them?

Updated this week

While preparing to teach Amplify ELA, you may wonder what the program will look like for your students. As the teacher, you have the ability to generate a student login so you can see what your students see. To learn how to create a student login for yourself, follow the step-by-step instructions below.

  1. Navigate to learning.amplify.com and log in.

  2. Click the Admin Portal icon in the Programs & Apps menu.

  3. Click Programs & Licenses in the top navigation.

  4. Select the license you want to create a shared student login account for.

  5. The License Details display with a list of the available Programs.

  6. Click the drop-down menu for the program you want to add logins for.

  7. Click View Shared Student Login.

  8. Copy the Shared Student Login username and password and share with your students through your preferred communication method.

  9. Students can navigate to the link displayed for the Amplify program they are trying to access and select Log in with Amplify.

  10. Then, they can enter the shared username and password. They will have read-only access to the program to follow along until their Amplify student account is ready.

Once you log in, you will see a screen that looks similar to your own Year Overview page. Pick a unit and you’ll begin to see the differences between your account and your students’ accounts. Shared Student Logins are set to preview mode and you will not be able to interact with the Curriculum (e.g., you can’t enter responses). A banner displays telling students to submit work on paper. When students log in using their own accounts, they will not see this banner and will be able to submit work.
