Vocab App

The Vocab App has been updated to offer enhanced accessibility and easier navigation for both educators and students. The Vocab App’s student experience now includes high contrast colors, larger font sizes, and a read-aloud functionality. The Student experience is now Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.0 AA compliant.

Updated reporting

The updated reporting page has bigger text, better contrast, and is expanded to fit your browser window.

Improved look and navigation for students

The Vocab App also has bigger text and better contrast for students, making the app easier to navigate.

The activities in the Vocab App have been updated so the text is easier to read.

The activities have a more cohesive layout and clear instructions for your students.

Read-aloud functionality

All text in your student’s Vocab App can now be read aloud. Read-aloud mode must be activated by the student. Once a student turns read aloud on, it will be saved across sessions.

Students can turn the read-aloud function On in Settings and choose the reader’s voice (TTS), the read-aloud volume, and the sound effects volume.

The Speaker button will appear next to all text in the Vocab App, so students can hear the prompt and words when they’re ready.
