Schoology Grade Sync

Grade syncing is designed to save you time by quickly sending numerical scores from Amplify Classwork to your Schoology gradebook. In Amplify Classwork, you will see a new max score field at the top of each expanded activity. Enter the numerical grade, select sync, and choose the destination in Schoology for the Amplify scores.

Classwork Submission Notifications

Submission notifications for grades 6–8 is a new feature that allows you to be alerted in Classwork each time a student clicks “Hand In” or “Update” on an activity. With quick links to new submissions, teachers will be able to easily access student work from multiple classes and provide timely feedback. Check your notifications by selecting the bell in the top right corner of your Classwork banner.

Assign in Amplify

Assigning makes it easy to distribute middle school activities to your students with optional due dates. Teachers will be able to quickly assign multiple activities simultaneously using the blue Assign button on the Lesson Brief. Teachers can also use the Assign button that is available in the header of each individual activity.

Assign in Microsoft Teams

The ‘Assign in Microsoft Teams’ button offers middle school Amplify ELA teachers the flexibility to integrate Amplify content with their Teams channels. This feature is available for all student-facing activities and simplifies navigation by providing a direct link to the Amplify platform within Teams. The feature was piloted in 2020 and will become available to all middle school customers this upcoming school year.

Automatic Writing Evaluation (AWE) Improvements

The new Conventions Details feature in Classwork will automatically identify up to ten common grammatical errors in student writing activities. When you turn the Details toggle on, any applicable errors will be listed below the Conventions rubric in the scoring panel.

Downloadable QR Codes for simplified student login

To simplify the process for younger learners we are adding QR Code logins. Students can now connect to Amplify quickly and securely without typing an email or password.

New Novel Guides

We are adding new novels to the Amplify Library to provide high-level texts that will challenge students while simultaneously engaging them in stories they will enjoy reading.

Literary Modules

You asked for more support and we are delivering with the creation of Literary Modules! These modules will be released on a rolling basis during the school year and consist of literary terms and concepts taught through mini slide decks using the new teacher slide player. Amplify has also added quick skill lessons to teach common concepts.
