Projector Mode

Make components larger by enabling Projector Mode while facilitating your lesson.

Updated over a month ago

When you’re teaching a lesson, Projector Mode makes all of our components larger, optimizes the screen layout, and shows only what students need on the Student and Teacher views of the dashboard. This is ideal for teachers using a personal view of the dashboard on their own display, while sharing a second window on a projector screen for their students to see.

Accessing Projector Mode

Projector Mode is currently a beta feature enabled in Desmos Labs. Users can opt-in to use this feature while it’s still in beta.

To access from the Desmos Labs menu, select Projector Mode along with any other features in Desmos Labs.

Once a lesson is assigned, Projector Mode can be found in the Teacher dashboard under the Student Tab and the Teacher Tab.

When you click the projector button in the lower right corner of the screen, you can enlarge the view.

When the button is pressed, you will be placed in a mode which makes fonts and components larger and grants access to navigation and pausing tools.

Additional features are on the way!

You can also go back and forth between the student view and the teacher view by selecting the Student Tab or Teacher Tab option from the menu in the lower right corner of the screen.

Projector Mode is available on Teacher Presentation Screens by clicking the blue Present button.

You can also access Projector Mode from the Student Preview screens on the Activity Landing Page.
