Admin Portal: Class roles

Designate staff members' class roles in the Admin Portal.

You can assign your staff members a role of either Primary teacher or Co-teacher in each class they are assigned.

Keep the following points in mind as you assign roles to staff:

  • Assigning more than one Primary teacher does not override the first assigned Primary teacher.

  • You can assign multiple Primary teachers and Co-teachers to a class.

  • The teacher designated as the Primary teacher is the Official teacher of the class for mCLASS aggregate reporting purposes.

  • A Co-teacher can be any staff member other than the Primary teacher for that class.

  • While there is no limit to the number of staff that can be added to a class, Amplify recommends setting one staff member as the Primary teacher and the others as Co-teachers.

mCLASS class roles

In mCLASS, there is only one Official teacher for each class. The first Primary teacher assigned to the class is the mCLASS Official teacher for aggregate reporting purposes. To learn more about how the Admin Portal interacts with mCLASS, click here.
